Well, we’re not supposed to have an Internet connection until Thursday yet I am online. It’s one of those technological mysteries that will send me loopy if I think about it too much so I’m just accepting it with thanks and keeping my fingers crossed that it will still be there tomorrow.
Hope you are well; we are in the clumsy early stage of settling into a new city, actually a new country, but the reality of Edinburgh, so far, easily lives up to the dream. I really feel like I can breathe here. x

{216:365} On the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island for a little day trip. While on Bainbridge, truffles were purchased in a little chocolate shop. Bacon maple truffle = yummmmmm!!!

It’s not every day that one is lucky enough to catch a Mexican cowboy on a pink scooter with his shoes on the wrong feet. And it seems to me when you are you really should take a photo of him.

we all took our shoes off that day and no one seemed to mind even though the grass was still damp from the rain the day before. Sometimes barefoot is best!
