Mud, and Rain, and Remembering (Woodbridge Connecticut)
Woodbridge Volunteer Firefighters spent much of the week working in the rain and mud to prepare their September 11th Memorial for dedication tomorrow at 10 a.m.

i don’t love this dog. the truth is…. i never even wanted this dog.
but my kids wanted a dog. and my husband wanted a dog. so what did i do?
i got us a dog.
i rescued him. and his name is karma. and he loves us.
all of us.
even me.
which makes me so mad because i didn’t want him…and most days i still don’t… and i hate that his hair is all over our house all the time. and i have to vacuum and swiffer every.single.day… but again. he loves us. and he REALLY loves evan. (that’s him sleeping), so that makes me happy.

Hoy encontré el sitio mágico de Madrid, donde caminaré todas las semanas, donde me perderé y disfrutaré con amor… Es una calle donde venden libros. El termino correcto sería “vender y comprar”, pero no importa.
Amo ese sitio porque los vendedores conocen los libros que venden y son muy ilustrados. Porque todos tienen pinta de viejos, por que parece un mercado y porque el olor de los libros viejos es inigualable.

Today found the magical place in Madrid, where I walk every week, where I lose and enjoy it with love … It is a street where they sell books. The correct term would be “sell and buy,” but no matter.
I love that site because sellers know the books they sell and are illustrated. Because they all have old paint, that looks like a market and because the smell of old books is unmatched.
