Every weekend is the same. My husband cooks and I watch everyone until the coffee kicks in.

En Holanda existen antiguas edificaciones que no están derechas, hay muchos edificios que caen de un lado, esta iglesi es una de ellas 🙂

In the Netherlands there are old buildings that are not straight, there are many buildings that falls on one side, this church is one example of them :

My husband had minor heart surgery earlier this week. All I can say is, thank goodness for a wonderful, skillful doctor who fixed my guy’s heart permanently.
And thank goodness for the invention of the iPad—worth every penny!

Up in the Garden
We had a brutal cold & wet spring, and it is only now, at the height of summer, that I’ve felt the least bit compelled to trudge up to the garden and plant something. The beds are a jungle of weeds & it will take several days of hard work to get it under control. Hopefully we’ll have a warm fall to make up for the cold spring so the pole beans I planted yesterday will have half a chance to produce a crop!

“Hello, sun in my face.
Hello, you who made the morning
and spread it over the fields
and into the faces of the tulips
and the nodding morning glories,
and into the windows of, even, the
miserable and the crotchety –
best preacher that ever was,
dear star, that just happens
to be where you are in the universe
to keep us from ever-darkness,
to ease us with warm touching,
to hold us in the great hands of light –
good morning, good morning, good morning.
Watch, now, how I start the day
in happiness, in kindness.”
