These Moments Monday
21/30 — so very grateful for this morning, free from work by accident, with a slow motion breakfast after a rather crazy school run, and with a slow motion coffee to enjoy … sigh … oh I needed this so.
today i am grateful for wishes, for hopes & for dreams, wishing is a good thing, im sending a wish out to the universe
The best knitting group. Ever.
Day 20 of 30 days of gratitude:
Grateful that this Sunday could truly be a day of rest.
Grateful to Heather who sent me this wand which magically turned all my clutter into bokeh.
I wish it were that easy!
Our house was built in 1860, when closets were a rarity. Our basement is unfinished, and our attic is filled with insulation. So when we moved in, one room became the storage room / closet for the whole house. It is packed with books, games, art and crafts supplies, wine-making supplies, science projects, pinhole camera supplies, more old projects (as homeschoolers we’ve done a lot of projects), out-of-season clothes, etc. It was never very organized, but I always knew where everything was. Throw in a family crisis, however, which brought with it a year and a half of having other things to focus on, and I lost control of this room.
This week I tackled the room. It was messy and dirty and took several days. Going through the projects the girls and I did when they were younger and before the family crisis hit was an emotional experience for all of us. I’m so relieved to have dealt with the room, but I’ll be dealing with the emotional fallout for a while.
Gratitude to Heather for the wand, but gratitude also for this home appraisal that’s coming and forcing me to take care of things I hadn’t been able to face.
Plant, light, love…
“A plant may not talk, but there is a spirit in it that is conscious, that sees everything, which is the soul of the plant, its essence, what makes it alive.”
